Fatwa Department (Darul-Ifta)

A fatwa department has been established for religious needs of people, for guidance in their family, as well as social and business affairs. Apart from fatwas dealing with personal issues, the muftis at Binoria provide an extremely valuable service of resolving domestic disputes through religious counselling and arbitration. These concern family law issues like divorce and inheritance. Services are provided in person and online.

Fatwa Studies Department:

Specialization in either of the two more popular schools of jurisprudence (Hanafi and Shafi) is available. The course involves intense readings of classical Fiqh manuals along with exercises and discussions on the formulation of Fiqh responses to modern problems. The aim is to produce specialists in Islamic jurisprudence who can cater to the religious needs of the people and also help the courts of the country in an advisory capacity.

Features and Objectives

The course involves intensive studies in Islamic law. This involves various Fiqh exercises, additional and supporting courses, and in-depth study of Fiqh problems. The objective is to produce experts in Islamic law who are able to solve the various practical problems concerning the implementation of Fiqh faced by people in various fields. The graduates may also get involved in helping the government in all areas of Islamic law being implemented in Pakistani law.

Those students from foreign countries who belong to the Shafi’i school of thought are taught by the experts and experienced teachers of the Shafi’i school of jurisprudence, the books of the Shafi’i school of jurisprudence and the method of studying, practicing, and solving problems according to the Shafi’i school of jurisprudence.
