بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
In the name of Allah. The beneficent, the Merciful.
نَحْمَدُ اللهَ اْلّعِّلِّيَّ الْعَظِيْم وَنُصَلَّيْ عَلى رَسُوْلِهِ الْكَرِيْمِ
(1) The name of our religion is ISLAM.
(2) ISLAM stands on five pillars
(3) These pillars are as follows:
(a) KALIMAH TAYYIBAH – Every Muslim must BELIEVE in and DECLARE the KALIMAH which means that there is none worthy to be worshipped except Allah and MUHAMMAD () is Allah’s Messenger.
(b) Daily five times SALAAT.
(c) To give ZAKAAT.
(d) FASTING in the month of RAMAZAAN.
(e) To perform HAJJ.
(4) ISLAM is a religion of peace.
(5) ISLAM is a perfect and true Religion.
(6) ISLAM teaches us all the good things about this world and the hereafter.
KALIMAH OF ISLAM
THE FIRST KALIMAH
لآ اِلهَ الاَّ اللهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُوْلُ اللهِ¡
| لآ اِلهَ الاَّ اللهُ (1) “There is none worthy of Worship but Allah. |
| مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُوْلُ اللهِ ¡ (2) Muhammad (r) is Allah‘s Messenger. |
This KALIMAH is also called: KALIMAH TAUHEED and KALIMAH TAYYIBAH.
THE SECOND KALIMAH
KALIMAH SHAHAADAT (Testification)
اَشْهَدُ اَنْ لاَّ اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ
وَاَشْهَدُ اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُه وَرَسُوْلُه¡
| اَنْ لاَّ اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ (2) There is none worthy of worship but Allah |
اَشْهَدُ (1) I testify that |
| اَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُه وَرَسُوْلُه¡ (4) that Muhammad () is Allah’s worshipper and Messenger. |
وَاَشْهَدُ (3) and I testify |
THE THIRD KALIMAH
KALIMAH TAMJEED (Glorification Of Allah)
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ وَلاَ اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَاللهُ اَكْبَرُ¡ وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ اِلاَّ بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ¡
| وَالْحَمْدُ للهِ (2) All praise be to Allah. |
سُبْحَانَ اللهِ (1) Glory be to Allah |
| وَاللهُ اَكْبَرُ¡ (4) And Allah is the Greatest |
وَلاَ اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ (3) There is none worthy of worship besides Allah |
| وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ There is no power and might |
|
| اِلاَّ بِاللهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيْمِ ¡ Except from Allah. The most high – The great. |

THE FOURTH KALIMAH
KALIMAH TAUHEED (Believing In The Unity Of Allah)
لاَ اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ وَحْدَه لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَه لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ يُحْيِىْ وَيُمِيْتُ بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ وَهُوَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ¡
| وَحْدَه (2) Who is alone. |
لآ اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ (1) There is none worthy of worship besides Allah |
| لَهُ الْمُلْكُ (4) His is the Kingdom |
لاَ شَرِيْكَ لَه لَهُ (3) (and) He has no partner |
| يُحْيِىْ وَيُمِيْتُ (6) He gives life and causes death |
وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ (5) and for Him is all praise |
| وَهُوَ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ¡ (8) And He has power over everything. |
بِيَدِهِ الْخَيْرُ (7) In His hand is all good |
THE FIFTH KALIMAH
KALIMAH RADDUL-KUFR (Disproving of Kufr)
اَلَّلهُمَّ اِنِّيْ اَعُوْذُبِكَ مِنْ اَنْ اُشْرِكَ بِكَ شَيْئًا وَّاَنَا اَعْلَمُ بِه وَاَسْتَغْفِرُكَ لِمَا لآ اَعْلَمُ بِه تُبْتُ عَنْهُ وَتَبَرَّأْتُ مِنَ الْكُفْرِ والشِّرْكِ وَالْكِذْبِ وَالْمَعَاصِيْ كُلِّهَآ أَسْلَمْتُ وَآمَنْتُ وَاَقُوْلُ لآ اِلهَ اِلاَّ اللهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُوْلُ اللهِ ط
O Allah! I seek protection in You from that I should not join any partner with you knowingly. I seek Your forgiveness from that which I do not know. I repent from it (ignorance.) I free myself from disbelief and joining partners with You and from all sins. I submit to Your will I believe and I declare. There is none worthy of worship besides Allah and Muhammad () is Allah’s Messenger.
