وَٱضۡرِبۡ لَهُم مَّثَلَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَا كَمَآءٍ أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَٱخۡتَلَطَ بِهِۦ نَبَاتُ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَأَصۡبَحَ هَشِيمٗا تَذۡرُوهُ ٱلرِّيَٰحُۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ مُّقۡتَدِرًا
اور (اے پیغمبر ﷺ) آپ ان سے دنیا کی زندگی کی (ایک اور) مثال (یہ بھی) بیان کردیجیے (کہ وہ ایسی ہے) جیسے پانی جسے ہم نے آسمان سے برسایا، پس اس کے ذریعے زمین سے اُگنے والی چیزیں خوب گنجان ہوکر اُگتی ہیںپھر وہ (چیزیں سوکھ کر) خشک بوسیدہ گھاس ہوجاتی ہے جس کو ہوائیں اُڑائے پھرتی ہیں اور اللہ (تعالیٰ) ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھنے والے ہیں۔ (۴۵)
